Hoje saiu o novo livro do Astérix – O céu cai-lhe em cima da cabeça – aqui na Europa. Arranjei a versão portuguesa mesmo hoje, o que me surpreende, já que em Portugal, habitualmente as coisas chegam com… um mês de atraso no mínimo (!).
Tendo lido, posso dizer que é um dos Astérixses mais invulgares. Não tem nada, digo, nada a ver com qualquer outro Astérix, sem contar com os mais fracos (e mais recentes) do Uderzo. Eles nem lutam contra os Romanos, por Toutatis!! Há alienígenas, naves espaciais, clones… fica confuso muitas vezes.
Mesmo assim, o Uderzo, agora com 78 anos fez um bom trabalho com os desenhos, que até parecem melhores. Afinal de contas, ele É o desenhador. Mas não é uma história engraçada, coerente como as que o Goscinny fazia (vamos referi-lo bastante), e no fundo, é a história que faz a diferença entre uma BD excelente e uma BD normalona. Dou-lhe 5 em 10 e estou a ser generoso.

You’re right, it IS the latter. Just like the last two books, this one’s … well, I wouldn’t say crappy, but it’s just not the same anymore. There isn’t one single good joke in this book. And besides, some names have been changed (Acurancetourix -> Cacofonix, Abraracourcix -> Matasétix).
The books written by Goscinny were just plain brilliant, the ones by Uderzo are simply… embarassing. I honestly feel bad for Uderzo, it is sad to see him stoop to such lows.
I was told that his last books are like a hommage to something (or someone), rather than just a good old style adventure. This one is a tribute to Walt Disney, but you can’t tell from reading it.
That’s like farting and saying that the sound is an homage to Mozart. Uderzo has lost his touch with reality, poor man.
LoL, I guess you’re right. Did you actually read the final one? It was supposed to be the greatest… but apparently they forgot to mention ‘disappointment’… I guess the sky DID fall down on their heads (Uderzo’s at least).
